“Harmony Cafe – Curious if anyone knows the story?”

3287 M Street, NW

“Dear PoPville,

I’ve been eating at Harmony Cafe on M. St since the mid 90’s. Always a husband and wife team and can’t remember them ever having any help. It’s my favorite restaurant in town as a vegetarian, as they make any dish on the menu meat or mock meat. I walked there yesterday to find this sign and my heart stopped.

There was also a liquor license sign in the front window. Curious if anyone knows the story? Would be a huge loss as the menu always stayed affordable and just a huge spot for college students and vegetarians in the city. No recording on their voicemail. Hoping maybe they are on vacation…..”

You can see their menu here.

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
