This is not the first Wawa to abruptly close – Adams Morgan closed after less than a year in 2020.

Ryan wrote last night: “The WAWA Columbia Heights is suddenly closing. I went in this evening to grab some milk for tomorrow’s coffee only to find bare shelves. I half assumed there were supply chain issues or there was a missed delivery, however, was told that they were permanently closing at midnight.”
