Honeymoon Chicken will open in Petworth late November

Georgia and Upshur Street, NW

From an email:

Restaurant Name: Honeymoon Chicken

Opening Timeline: Slated to open late November 2021

About the Concept: Honeymoon Chicken is the newest fried chicken brand from Salis Holdings’ Steve Salis and Executive Chef Rob Sonderman. A premium take on traditional fried chicken, Sonderman’s version is seasoned in a blend of spices, fried to golden perfection and dipped in a hot honey glaze, bringing “funky and fancy” fried chicken to the DC dining scene.

While we await the arrival of Honeymoon, you can get your first taste of these marvelous fried chicken flavors at Ensemble in Bethesda. Ensemble is a new way to order the greatest hits and best new dishes from top-tier restaurants for pick up or delivery.

Currently serving fried chicken plates, sandwiches, salads and more for delivery and pickup via Ensemble Kitchen in Bethesda, Honeymoon will soon be serving their signature fried chicken from a brand new space in Petworth.”

Check out the Honeymoon menu here. Stay tuned for an exact opening date.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
