Bindaas Bowls & Rolls opening this Fall in Penn Quarter

415 7th Street, NW

Ed. Note: Merzi closed Summer 2020.

From a press release:

“Ashok Bajaj of Knightsbridge Restaurant Group is pleased to announce a new Bindaas Bowls & Rolls, carryout concept which will open in the fall of 2021 at 415 7th Street, NW. This 25-seat “to-go” focused sister restaurant will have a few of the popular dishes found at the original Bindaas location in Cleveland Park at 3309 Connecticut Avenue, 20008, and the downtown oasis at The Shops at 2000 PENN, 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, 20006, which reopens on Friday, April 16, after a long hiatus during COVID-19. Diners at the new Penn Quarter eatery can anticipate classic bowls and can build their own customize meal with favorite ingredients.

“The time is right for opening our first carryout concept showcasing delicious and easy to transport bowls and rolls,” states Ashok Bajaj the founder and president of Knightsbridge Restaurant Group. “Our restaurants have by and large adapted well during the pandemic. We are pleased that patrons crave our good, time honored, made from scratch Indian fare, so transitioning to create our first to-go focused location makes perfect sense as we move forward together. We are so pleased to reopen Bindaas downtown to serve the Foggy Bottom neighborhood as it has been a long winter, and spring brings revitalization.”

The new grab and go concept will feature bowls and rolls in popular Penn Quarter for those on the fly. Serving from a counter, patrons pick their proteins, which will have a rotating selection comprised of lamb, fish, chicken, and shrimp, as well as vegetarian options, to build their own meal. The 1,800-square-foot newcomer will serve from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
The menu is created by James Beard award-winning Group Executive Chef Vikram Sunderam. One can select a featured bowl or Indian roll, filled with a tempting Indian feast, for an affordable $12 to $14 price range.

Bindaas is located at 3309 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20008. The restaurant is one block from the Cleveland Park Metro accessible on the red line. For reservations or additional information please call (202) 244-6550 or visit www.bindaasdc.com.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
