SEOULSPICE to Debut The Unlimited Korean BBQ Experience Today

From SEOULSPICE (NoMa at 145 N Street, NW; Tenleytown at 4600 Wisconsin Ave, NW):

“SEOULSPICE, the healthy Korean comfort food concept with locations in NOMA, Tenleytown and College Park, Maryland, has transformed two of its popular fast-casual restaurants into Korean BBQ concepts. Beginning Wednesday, November 11, fans of the NOMA and Tenleytown locations will be able to enjoy a never-ending supply of high-quality, dry-aged beef, served tableside with an ample selection of Korean banchan (sides) and scratch-made sauces. Guests who visit the new Korean BBQ concept can also look forward to a 25% discount for the month of November, followed by a 10% discount for the month of December. The full price menu will launch on January 1, 2021. This special savings only applies to the cuisine (beverages pricing excluded from the discount) during the preview period and is available exclusively at the NOMA and Tenleytown locations.

“At the beginning of the pandemic, we successfully launched a mobile bodega service, Heart+Seoul, with the aim to provide convenient, affordable, and safe groceries for the communities we serve,” says Eric Shin, owner of SEOULSPICE. “Eight months later, as we move into winter, our team wanted to find a way to engage new business while offering an outstanding value and a safe indoor dining environment during these uncertain economic times. We hope our customers will make a return revisit to our restaurants, knowing that we are taking every necessary precaution to ensure our patrons and staff stay safe. This pop-up will also allow us to explore the possibility of opening an authentic Korean barbeque restaurant in downtown DC once this pandemic is behind us.”

The new Unlimited Korean BBQ Experience is priced at $20 per person (beverages, tax and gratuity not included), and includes prime marbled beef brisket served with an assortment of banchan (sides) such as kimchi, Korean radish, cucumbers, bean sprouts, kale, garlic, sushi-grade white rice, and house-made sauces such as Korean hot sauce, ginger-carrot and creamy sriracha. Additional menu items will also be available for purchase such as Bulgogi, thin-sliced ribeye marinated in a sweet & savory kalbi marinade; Chicken, juicy, grilled, locally-raised and marinated in a sweet & savory kalbi marinade; Spicy Pork, thin-sliced ribeye marinated in a sweet & savory kalbi marinade; Tofu, organic, non-GMO beans, braised and caramelized in a kalbi marinade; Japchae, delicious gluten-free noodles made from sweet potato starch, tossed with carrots and kale in a delicious sesame-ginger-soy marinade; Purple Rice, multi-grain blend of forbidden black rice and sushi-grade white rice, as well as The Egg: perfectly set white, liquid-gold yolk, marinated in a sweet-soy base, a SEOULSPICE favorite! Prices range from $1.99 to $7.99.

SEOULSPICE has also enhanced its safety measures for the protection and comfort of guests, as well as healthful management practices for the restaurant staff. To facilitate social distancing measures, the restaurant’s floor plan was reconfigured to create two seating areas at least ten feet apart and guests are strongly encouraged to keep their dining experiences limited to one hour. Reservations for the Unlimited Korean BBQ Experience are pre-paid, and refills & extras are requested through a QR code (that is specific to each table) to reduce the number of interactions between customers and staff. For added protection, tables and chairs are disinfected after each seating and high contact surfaces are disinfected regularly; staff members are asked to wear masks and gloves at all times; guests and employees are temperature checked and employees are asked to complete a contact tracing questionnaire when clocking into each shift. Additionally, Shin has installed individual HEPA Particle Filtration Systems at each table.

SEOULSPICE is a healthy Korean comfort food concept with three locations in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area: NOMA at 145 N Street, NW, Suite 400, Washington, DC 20002, (202) 817-6927; Tenleytown at 4600 Wisconsin Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20016, (202) 830-9351 and College Park, Maryland at 4200 Guilford Drive b2, College Park, Maryland 20740, (301) 979-0789. Now, our last show may or may not have mentioned Taylor Swift, and we may have gotten into some trouble from confused Swifties who thought they scored a $15 ticket to a Taylor Swift concert. So, to apologize and clear up any confusion, we’ve decided to dedicate another show to her. We promise she might or might not appear this time.
