“Donate to Our Emergency Weekend Bag Program”

Thanks to Kari for passing this on from the DC Food Project:

“Our team at DC Food Project has launched an Emergency Weekend Bag Program. As we face these uncertain times, our team recognizes the many challenges that families might be facing during this pandemic – our Weekend Bag Program aims to help those in critical need.

With meal sites up and running and other various organizations stepping in to help, our hope is that students and families are getting what they need. BUT — we also recognize the many challenges that families might be facing.

Working with our partner schools throughout Washington, D.C., we are filling the gaps where we can. We know that many of these families are in critical need due to loss of jobs, transportation issues, homelessness or in transitional housing and do not have access to meal sites or weekend meals.

By deploying this Emergency Weekend Bag Program on a bi-weekly basis, we are able to deliver enough food for families to last 10-14 days. Our bags contain food for breakfast, lunch and dinner – and snacks if we are able – for a family of four, on average.

Funds at this time will allow us to continue our operations and adapt to the evolving landscape and challenges.

If you are able to donate, please consider the following:

$1000 will provide an Emergency Weekend Bag for 40 families

$250 will provide an Emergency Weekend Bag for 10 families

$100 will provide an Emergency Weekend Bag for 4 families

$50 will provide an Emergency Weekend Bag for 2 families

$25 will provide an Emergency Weekend Bag for 1 family

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
