Coffee Talk – sadness at Compass Coffee, Some Delivery options at Bluestone Lane and wondering what those working from home are brewing up?

Thanks to all who sent the sad word. Many who reached out to me are upset about the way the news was delivered: “Compass Coffee, a DC based company just laid off 180 of their 200 employees abruptly with no compensation or support. Here’s the insufficient letter from the owner. It was heartbreaking for employees having worked there for years.”

Sadly similar lay offs have and will continue to occur throughout the industry. Please see the virtual tip jar for service industry workers. Hopefully baristas can be included too. And hopefully the District Council will provide support to the workers laid off as well.

How are you getting your coffee fix these days? For those making at home, what are you brewing up?
