More from a press release:

“UMBRELLA will feature 15,000 square-feet of active art space showcasing nine art galleries with art installations and is meant to spotlight the commencement of Collection 14, a vibrant new mixed-use development project which was formerly Martha’s Table, as well as its adjoining properties. The aim of this three-day event is to bring the community together to revel in art and reveal Madison Investments’ plans for this mixed-use development, which is one of the largest landmark redevelopment projects in Washington, D.C. within the last decade.

UMBRELLA will feature over 240 pieces of artwork by local artists: Kelly Towles, Naturel, Maggie O’Neill, Monochrome Collective, Washington Project for the Arts (WPA), Mark Kelner, Fabiola R. Delgado, PAKKE, Rock Creek Social Club, District Dodger, and JAB. Visitors can anticipate the works to be compelling, diverse as well as colorful and irreverent. All artwork will be available for purchase and priced from $250 to $3,000 per piece. A portion of the art sales will be donated to Feed it Forward, a group of friends in the DC area helping those who need a little help.

Additionally, Bun’d Up will be providing a modern, Korean twist on the original Taiwanese “gua bao” with handmade buns, local produce and sustainably raised meats from Springfield Farm.”

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
