Napoli Pasta Bar opens in former Hilltop space on Sherman Ave!! “The pasta, charcuterie and cocktails were delicious”

Thanks to Amanda for sending:

“A few weeks ago you posted about the Hilltop on Sherman Avenue becoming Napoli Pasta Bar. This week, I noticed that they were open so I tried it out. I was really impressed! The owner previously worked at Café Milano and Lupo Verde and you can tell that he knows his pasta! The pasta, charcuterie and cocktails were delicious and the staff was friendly without being pushy or intrusive. I never went to the Hilltop so I don’t know how many changes were made, but the inside is beautifully decorated. There is a table made out of a Vespa scooter with a working headlight, which is pretty sweet. The waiter said that they have a happy hour discount on their beer and wine. Oh, and there is free bread and olive oil! I am a longtime resident of Sherman Avenue and I am excited (and a little surprised) to see a restaurant like this pop up on our street, so bring your friends, bring your kids and check it out!”

More photos and a message from the owner after the jump.

From the owner:

“We’re excited to announce that Napoli Pasta Bar is now open in Columbia Heights. Our menu offers authentic Neapolitan cuisine, Italian wines, delicious cocktails and local beers. Stepping through the front door, you’ll feel like you stumbled into a sweet café along the Sorrento Coast, from the hand-painted plates to the vintage Vespa-turned-dining-table. Our guests are also welcome to dine al fresco in our expansive patio, which will be soon be updated to include outdoor access to the bar. The atmosphere indoors and out is welcoming, intimate and family-friendly.

Guests are likely to be greeted by first-time restaurant owner, Antonio Ferraro, who came to Washington from Vico Equense, a city of Napoli, in 2006 as a restaurant manager. Antonio brings decades of experience in the restaurant industry both in Italy and around Washington. In the District, he has managed Café Milano, Lupo Verde, Del Campo and Quill at the Jefferson Hotel. This new restaurant is the realization of a dream many years in the making. “I wanted to recreate the home-cooked meals I shared with my family back in Napoli here in my new home. If you’ve visited Napoli or the Amalfi Coast before, I think the flavors in our dishes will transport you back.”

Located at 2737 Sherman Avenue NW, Napoli Pasta Bar will be open from 4:30pm to 12am Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and from 4:30pm to 1am Friday and Saturday. We offer aperitivo (the Italian tradition of a pre-dinner drink and snack) from 4:30pm to 6:30pm Tuesday through Friday, and we are closed on Monday.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
