“This is an exceptional sale and we are happy that our clients were able to achieve such unprecedented value,” says Mark Lowham, CEO of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty.
“Rarely in our market do we have the opportunity to sell such unique, spectacular and historically significant residences like The Warehouses at The Helicopter Factory. I am excited that this remarkable residence has found its perfect owner.” says Michael Hines, Vice President at TTR Sotheby’s International Realty and Helicopter Factory Exclusive Listing Agent.
Jeff Gross, Principal of Brick Lane quotes that “The Helicopter Factory project, and in particular the renovation of the Historic warehouses, has provided our team with an incredible opportunity to reinvent a truly rare piece of DC real estate. We hope that the combination of raw exposed elements melded with contemporary and classic home design will be a new benchmark for the urban industrial aesthetic. We would like to thank our partners Brook Rose, Urban Design Group, Temerity Capital Partners TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, and Revere Bank for helping us realize the potential of this historic landmark.”

This early 20th century factory was once owned by the eminent inventor Emile Berliner (1851- 1929) and his son-in-law, Joseph Sanders. Berliner and Sanders are best known for the invention of the phonograph record, an early sound recording device, and pioneering an early version of the helicopter at their Gyro Motor Company warehouse on Girard Street. In between 1907 and 1926, Berliner dedicated himself to improving the technologies of vertical flight through the development of a lightweight rotary engine. The principal façade is in the Fairmont- Girard alleyway.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
