Some will be Furious, Some will be Delirious, and Some will just eat some Chicken from time to time without thinking too deeply on it

Scott reports:

“Here are the people gathered for the new Chick Fil A first 100 ride at 7:15…”

From Chick Fil A sends at 9:30am:

“The June 1 Chick-fil-A opening of the new Capitol Hill East drive-thru restaurant will be celebrated with a May 31 Road Trip, where upwards of 100 people can earn a free year supply of Chick-fil-A.

Right now, the 80 participants already in line will assemble 10,000 meals at the new restaurant for DC Central Kitchen where representatives will come to accept the meals and tell the participants about their mission. From there, participants will load two charter buses to continue on their Road Trip which will return them to the restaurant around 4:30 p.m. for a block party complete with receiving their year supplies.

Chick-fil-A franchise Operator Peter Choi is hosting D.C.’s first Chick-fil-A Road Trip on May 31 to celebrate the next morning’s grand opening of his new Capitol Hill East drive-thru restaurant at 1401 Maryland Ave., NE. The Road Trip is replacing the traditional overnight First 100 campout party typically associated with Chick-fil-A’s grand openings. Those who participate in the Road Trip will earn a free year supply of Chick-fil-A. “

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
