The 1700 block of Willard St NW is a relatively quiet one block long one way enclave at the very tippy top of Dupont and at the bottom of the hill from Adams Morgan. It features a mix of Victorian houses, as well as small and mid-sized condo and rental buildings.

The subject property is located in The Willard Mansions condominium, which is home to a total of 26 units. A relatively small unit (hence the high price per square foot), the updated subject has a gas fireplace, and a washer/dryer in the unit. The building includes a common roof deck with great views of the city.

With the recent mild weather and rising mortgage interest rates, buyer activity in the local real estate market has been vibrant. Inventory remains extremely sparse as some Sellers hold out for the prime Spring months. However, the mild weather has been encouraging some Sellers to list early, so there has been at least a trickling of new stuff popping up.

Inauguration/March weekend was not a total deterrent to the DC real estate market with 240 open houses scheduled across the city this past Saturday and Sunday. (The prior weekend there were 418 scheduled open houses).

The listing agents for this property were Elysia Cassidy and Brittany Allison with Wydler Brothers, LLC. Christina Miller, also with Wydler Brothers, LLC assisted the Buyer.

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
