Election Night “Flash Choir” at the White House Tonight

DC Election Night Flash Choir: America is #BetterThanBigotry:

“DC: The truth is, we don’t know what election night could bring.

It could be celebration, it could be a night of mourning, or it could be something in between. But on November 8th as the election is called, we’ll be gathering at Lafayette Square across from the White House, to mark the moment together and proclaim that America is #BetterThanBigotry.

We’ll have an iconic illuminated art installation projecting our message right in front of the White House, and song sheets for a few inspiring American classics, led by a number of professional DC area choirs like SongRise, the DC Labor Chorus and more!

We need everyone — the media will be there to witness, and if enough of us sing out together we’ll send a powerful message to the country, the world, and the next president: we’ve come way too far as a country to let bigotry and hate win the day.

Bring a friend or a family member. Join us, all you need is your voice. Let’s sing it out together!

P.S. The day after the election, the Avaaz team in DC is building a massive wall in front of the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall, collecting messages from across the country and the world, and from people there on site, sharing our hopes and dreams for a country that can move past the bigotry of this crazy election. We’ll be there first thing in the morning and all day Wednesday, stop by if you can!”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
