Missing Person Critical: 17 Year Old Jair Edwards, Last Seen in the 500 block of W St, NW UPDATE: Located

“The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 17 year-old Jair Edwards who was last seen in the 500 block of W Street, NW on Monday, May 26, 2014 at approximately 11:26 am.

Jair is described as a black male, 5’5” in height, weighing approximately 150 pounds, brown eyes, and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with tan pants and gray Nike shoes.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jair Edwards is asked to call the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099, Youth Investigations Division at 202-576-6768, or 911.”

UPDATE from MPD:

“The missing person identified as 17 year-old Jair Edwards has been located in good health and has been reunited with his family.

Mr. Edwards was reportedly last seen on Monday, May 26, 2014, in the 500 block of W Street, NW.

The Metropolitan Police Department would like to thank both our community and media partners for their assistance in publicizing this case.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
