Super sad news out of Columbia Heights over the weekend. I was checking out the menu at the beloved Don Julio’s on Park Road when
a woman from a nearby store approached me to let me know that the owner/proprietor (Mauricio(?) we had a bit of a language barrier communicating) had recently passed away. I believe she said the funeral would be today (Tuesday.) She wasn’t sure if Don Julio’s would be reopening or not. We will update as soon as we learn more.
Don Julio’s has been serving reasonable priced eats in the neighborhood since at least 2012.
