I recognize might be a bit of a firestarter, but I think it’s important. I live in Park View and drive a Tesla that we’ve driven long before Elon bought an election. This morning, I was loading my 9-month old baby into the car to drive to daycare and a neighbor walking by screamed,
“fuck you and your fucking Tesla, you fucking cunt” at me.
Am I now mortified by the car we selected hoping to be the change we wanted to see in the world for our daughters? Absolutely. Should a neighbor verbally assault another neighbor? Absolutely not.
I know tensions are at an all time high and I’m empathetic to this neighbor looking for a moment of release, but this is a friendly reminder that if you’re yelling at someone in DC there’s a 90+% chance you’re yelling at someone on your own team.“
