There is a new restaurant coming to 16th street heights: casa mia on 14th and Buchanan. Would love to know more intel?”
Back in late January a liquor license was filed for Casa Mia Italian Eatery & Café:
“New Class “D” Restaurant with a Seating Capacity of 23 and Total Occupancy Load of 35.
Sidewalk Café with 8 Seats. The Licensee is also requesting Holiday Extension of Hours.”
For a minute this was going to be called A Taste of Italy. Before that the ast we heard back in July 2024 was “The old Ethiopian grocery store at 4600 14th Street NW that burnt down (in 2022) will reopen as a cafe.”
