Around 9:40 Thursday morning, I was walking on P Street between 24th and 23rd NW and heard a voice in a parked car asking if I had a place to recommend nearby for breakfast. I stopped, walked back a step or two to look at the person in the car and asked what he was looking for, and then I noticed the person in the car had their genitals out and
was masturbating. I walked away in disgust but then walked back and took a photo of the car that I think was involved. I BELIEVE it was a silver VW, but it’s entirely possible I got the wrong car amidst my shock – they were pulling out of the spot to drive away. I did call the police.
I texted a friend who lives a few blocks away and she let me know the same thing had happened to her about six months ago at 26th and P – the person in the car asked for directions to get to Mass Ave. My friend was also heavily pregnant at the time.
