A thought experiment really – to deter package theft. Cameras are useless because the police won’t, (and realistically probably can’t) do anything about it, but surely some creative engineer-type person could
come up with a real, effective, actual deterrence for package thieves? Like a pressure plate that would explode itching powder/dye on anyone removing a package without the code. Or exploding a thousand tiny darts. Or a Spider Man sticky net that drops down. Or a delivery box full of scorpions – Amazon drops it in and you need welder gloves to retrieve it. Or really, a freaking leg-hold snap trap. Thieves now actually just follow the delivery trucks and take what they want. Ignore all the annoying legal silliness – play with your brain and defeat package thieves! And thanks Chewy for re-sending my $80.00 of cat food…”
