I, like many of my DC friends, came from the South. The decision to leave was a conscious one, but there are things I miss about it… like line dancing. Or just country music in general. My question is, are there any good country/western dance bars in the DMV?
I know that Hill Country’s Boot Bar has live music on Wednesday nights, but it’s just not enough. My research only turned up this 2011 article, which seemed to receive a good amount of support, so I wanted to see if there have been any changes in the country scene since then. If not, happy to just keep the conversation alive – if anyone is ready to open a bar that welcomes boots, hats, and fringe, I am prepared to patronize it. Southerners, unite (but only to dance, please)!”
