“Yet another DC ticketing adventure”

“Dear PoPville,

The situation: I got a parking ticket in April in Foggy Bottom for legally parking and paying with Parkmobile (there was almost a half hour left on my reservation). In fact, the parking officer ticketed EVERY car on BOTH sides of the street. No construction, no street sweeping, all parked within the posted hours. There was plainly some kind of technical (or officer) error. I appealed,

and eventually was denied on the grounds that my proof wasn’t sufficient… in Sept. After I’d moved. And updated my address with the DMV. They still sent the letter to my old address, with the address label filled out incompletely! After USPS figured out what to do with it, it arrived after the 30-day mark to contest the ticket. I’m wondering if anyone has a) been ticketed while using Parkmobile (I thought Parkmobile would help but haven’t figured out how). And, b) if anyone knows how to deal with the city not bothering to maintain their own records re: addresses and depriving residents of due process. The whole situation is financially predatory.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
