Was very excited to be part of DC’s pilot curbside compost program, but it might have been short-lived. We put our bin out on Friday for pick-up,
it was emptied out in the morning, and then it was totally gone by noon. Anyone else experience this? I’m assuming it was lifted by someone who just wanted a bucket, but perhaps there’s another explanation for what happened? I’ve been on the receiving end of a Helluva Way to Wake Up, but a used compost bin?!
Just saw in our neighborhood Facebook group that many others in my area have experienced the same thing. Makes me even more confused on whether this was intentional by the city or just someone who really wanted a lot of buckets.”
