My wife Jean and I want to send a big thank you to all of the people on Shepherd Street NW for PorchFest on Saturday April 29. Our 13-month old Jack had a simple febrile seizure, and gave his parents quite a panic. We want to let the community know how grateful we were for your help calling 911 and keeping us calm. And we want to especially thank Dr. Christina Baviskar for stepping in and helping us. Jack is doing great and has made a speedy recovery.
He’s back to playing blocks, jumping off furniture, and trying to stick fingers in as many noses as he can.
We’re lucky to live in such a kind and caring community.”

Then, it’s time to dust. Lexi starts with high-touch surface areas (think: refrigerator, dishwasher, counters, microwave). One area she sees often neglected is the bedroom — and it makes sense. Heavy furniture is difficult to move around, but it’s important to really get in there so dust doesn’t affect your sleep.
