“On behalf of Tico and the entire Schlow Restaurant Group family, thank you Washington, D.C. for eight wonderful years of patronage, celebration and generosity. When Tico opened in 2014, we joined a welcoming and dynamic community that we have grown to love.
Our new neighbors were full of curiosity about a concept that was innovative and unique to the city, and they gave us their full support. That same energy enabled Tico to survive the pandemic when so many other restaurants closed. Our hearts are full with gratitude.
We remain fully committed to the 14th Street Corridor. Although Tico will close on Sunday, July 31, the SRG team is excited to offer a vibrant new concept in its place. Nama Ko, a Japanese-inspired Restaurant and Craft Cocktail Bar, will open in September. We will have more details to share soon. Be prepared to experience the unexpected.
