Well-Paid Maids’ long-time operations manager Ogi bid the company farewell this month. After 4.5 years, the team is bummed to see her go but excited for her next adventure. (See more on that below!)
To officially say goodbye, we caught up with Ogi for a bit of an unconventional exit interview.
Question: Tell us about your experience with Well-Paid Maids.
Answer: I started working as a cleaner. After about six months, I was promoted to operations manager.
I enjoyed every moment at Well-Paid Maids. It’s a company with a great mission, and it takes good care of employees. They constantly raised my salary and the hourly wage of cleaners based on the economy and the quality of our work.
No employee is left behind. They talk to every employee individually and listen to their concerns and problems and take immediate action. This includes:
- Reducing hours as needed.
- Taking a company-paid taxi to work when they have car problems.
- Giving them smaller jobs if they’re no longer able to work long hours due to health or other reasons.
I only mentioned a few of the great things Well-Paid Maid does. There are too many awesome things the company does for its employees and customers to list.
Q: What was your favorite part of working at Well-Paid Maids?
A: They take good care of every single employee.
Q: How did Well-Paid Maids compare to prior work experiences?
A: It is a very well-organized and well-managed company. As a manager, I never felt like I needed to constantly ask my boss for instructions. I had all the authority to properly manage employees and also handle any situations/problems happening to both customers or employees.
Q: Describe Well-Paid Maids in three words.
A: Well-managed, caring and a company with a great mission!
Q: Would you recommend Well-Paid Maids as an employer to your friends?
A: DEFINITELY.
Q: Tell us a little bit about your new venture. (Congrats, by the way!)
A: Thank you! I am starting a new business selling various products on Amazon. I don’t have a store set up yet — it’s a work-in-progress!

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!
The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!
What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
