I saw your story about Francis Stevens pool being closed for the few months it is open in the summer – announced on May 24, a week before it was to open. That was just infuriating – that the city could not have determined what repairs needed to be done and did them between September of last year and May of this year, and notifying residents a week before it was to open.
Now today I went to go swimming at the Dunbar pool and there was a sign that said that the Dunbar pool is closed for the summer season starting June 17. WTF?

This has never happened before. It is closed all summer because… the outdoor pools are open? We live in Logan Circle. Now, the closest pool is in Adams Morgan? Is that also closed for the summer season now too since that is an indoor pool? If so the closest pool to those here is like 25 + blocks away.
Any chance of at least getting some answers – why the new policy? Why was the announcement about Francis done so late? When will Francis be open – will it be reopened? When will Dunbar be open again – will it be open on weekends?“
