End of an Era – Afghan Grill has closed

“Dear PoPville,

I stopped by the CVS at the corner of Connecticut and Calvert the other day and saw some workers actively taking down Afghan Grill’s signage. Their “open” neon sign was lit though! Any idea if they are closed for good or, hopefully, just replacing their old signs with new ones?”

I stopped by over the weekend and the space has been completely cleaned out:

There phone has also been disconnected.

Back in June of 2021 we posted that “the owner said they’re a few weeks from closing if their fortunes don’t improve”.
