I thought people would be interested to see a wild turkey that attacked me on the Anacostia trail last night (Wednesday). I ended up at urgent care with puncture wounds on my legs and I had to get a tetanus shot and antibiotics.
I think they are native to the Arboretum and this one was closer to Kenilworth Gardens, which is a super high traffic area. It was terrifying. I’m wondering if anyone else got attacked too!! Here is a pic of the monster (above)”
