“Dear PoPville,
I was taking my usual route to work, heading southbound on 4th St NW at 7:55am yesterday, when an individual pushing a red shopping cart began verbally threatening to kill me. He then stepped in front of me into the street at that intersection and brandished a crow bar, saying that he would never let me cross the street and he would end my life.
I was able to run away from the scene and he only pursued me for about a quarter of a block before giving up. I was not physically hurt during the incident but wanted to warn others since there is a lot of commuter and residential foot traffic in the Mount Vernon Triangle area. DC MPD is taking a statement from me and so far seem to be taking the incident seriously.”
