Thanks to Jonathan for sending: “A big shoutout to Tokiya Japan, a Japanese pottery+assorted goodies store that opened a couple years ago and has a great location right next to Hana Japanese Market.
Like a lot of small businesses, they had to close for months because of Covid and since reopening have had more limited hours than before. They have also not been able to host in-person events, though hopefully those will get started up again soon. Their pottery is beautiful and runs the gamut from decorative showpieces to highly practical tableware. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and always eager to talk about both traditional Japanese pottery, as well as international development and education issues.”
