“Summer Pool & Rec Center Access: New Hours of Operation Starting Monday, June 28”

From the Department of Parks and Recreation:

“When the weather heats up in DC, DPR is the place to be. That’s why we’re focused on getting #BackToSummer and helping residents make the most of this long-awaited season.

Next week marks the beginning of expanded access for outdoor pools and recreation centers.

Starting Monday, June 28:

Outdoor pools will be open for a maximum of 6 days per week.

Select outdoor pools will shift operations to remain open until 8pm on weekdays.

Select recreation centers will be open for a maximum of 6 days per week, with full access to fitness centers, gyms, and other indoor amenities.

Indoor pools no longer require reservations and are now accepting walk-ins.

Closed. Reopening Fall 2021

Deanwood Pool
Closed for Capital renovations. Reopening later this summer.

Turkey Thicket Pool
Closed for Capital renovations. Reopening Winter 2022.

Takoma Pool
Closed for Capital renovations. Reopening Spring 2022.

Therapeutic Recreation Center
Closed for Capital renovations. Reopening Spring 2022.

Water aerobics, swimming lessons, and other indoor aquatic programming returns on Monday, June 28.”
