Progress at Honeymoon Fried Chicken replacing Slim’s in Petworth

4201 Georgia Ave, NW at Upshur Street, NW

JJ asks: “saw some equipment being loaded into the old Slim’s diner yesterday afternoon – any word on what’s going on?”

This is going to be Honeymoon Fried Chicken from the folks behind the excellent Federalist Pig! A new liquor license application says:

“A new Retailer’s Class C Restaurant with a seating capacity of 41 and Total Occupancy Load of 49. Sidewalk Café Endorsement with 60 seats.”

STAY TUNED.
