From a press release:

“Andre McCain, founder and CEO of Butter Me Up, the virtual breakfast sandwich pop-up that launched at HalfSmoke in May 2020 is pleased to announce the opening of its first brick-and-mortar location. Butter Me Up will open in July 2021 in the bustling Logan Circle neighborhood at 1409 T Street, NW, 20009. Patrons can anticipate the innovative, yet familiar breakfast staples from the Shaw pop-up along with new additions that will be exclusive to this location.

A pandemic baby, Butter Me Up debuted in May 2020 to help meet the demand for additional breakfast options in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C. “We launched Butter Me Up at the beginning of the pandemic when moral was down and restaurants were forced to close for indoor and outdoor dining,” says Andre McCain, founder and CEO of Butter Me Up and HalfSmoke. “We had just laid off 50 employees and were looking for an innovative way to bring them back. Breakfast was an underutilized time for us so we decided to launch a breakfast pop-up which would allow us to re-hire staff while helping to uplift our community in the process. Out of the gate we had tremendous support from our core customers. And now, a year later, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to curate a dining experience that is authentically Butter Me Up. This new location will also allow us to continue to grow and expand the offerings available at both Butter Me Up and HalfSmoke.”

To date, Butter Me Up has sold over 72,000 breakfast sandwiches. Each is made from scratch and incorporates fresh, local ingredients as well as homegrown goods produced in Washington, D.C. such as Gordy’s Pickle Jar, Panorama Bakery, Logan’s Sausage, Büna Coffeehouse and Calabash Tea & Tonic. Additionally, each sandwich comes with a pay-it-forward action card to encourage individuals to spread love throughout the community. Examples include “Write A Thank You Note To Someone Who Wouldn’t Expect It” or “Spend One Hour Doing Something You Really Enjoy.”

Guests can anticipate a newly expanded Butter Me Up menu at the new 14th Street location. The menu will be divided into six categories: adulting, just feed me please, breakfast sammies, dinner for breakfast, griddle me this and cake & eat it, too. New additions to the menu include: Diet Starts Today with acai, Greek yogurt and granola ($11); I Need New Friends, chicken & waffles ($14); Sorry Not Sorry, shrimp & grits ($15); Rise & Shine, breakfast tacos ($10); Sunglasses & Advil, red velvet pancakes ($13); Last Night Was Made Real, fried Oreo pancakes ($12); Walk of Shame, baked mac & cheese and Vacation Vibes, Mediterranean skillet ($11). Patrons will be able to quench their thirst with house-pressed juices ($7), kombucha ($4) as well as single-origin, farm-to-cup coffee ($3-$4) from Büna Coffeehouse and Calabash Tea & Tonic, both in Washington, D.C. Traditional brunch cocktails, such as Mimosas ($7); Bloody Mary ($8); Irish Coffee ($8) as well as craft beer and wine will also be available.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
