“feeling really grateful for the petworth community and the folks who work at cinder bbq”

“Dear PoPville,

Tonight (Friday) around 7:15 my fiancé and I went to go grab a bite at cinder bbq (8th and Upshur St, NW.) Our puppy Lucy knocked over an easel which terrified her which caused her to bolt and slip out of her harness. Before our eyes Lucy was sprinting up upshur street. The entire community of people out around 7:15pm shouted, stopped cars, and unquestionably saved Lucy from a very terrible incident.

Luckily, we have a very smart girl and she just ran home and waited for us on our side steps (I know she’s a genius).

That being said, if not for our incredible petworth neighbors and the amazing people who work at cinder who looked after our belongings, kept our food warm, and gave us a very much needed shot of whisky upon our return, I am not sure this night would have ended up with such a happy ending.

In sum, thanks to our amazing neighborhood & support cinder- the best people with incredible bbq (great brisket dog treats too)!”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
