“DC’s iconic Georgia Brown’s will reopen after a winter break on April 4, Easter Sunday, with its unlimited “bountiful brunch” menu featuring Southern favorites served tableside. Priced at $67 per person, $30 for children, the menu includes popular dishes from Georgia Brown’s 28-year history of bringing Low Country inspired recipes to the Nation’s Capital.

For brunch, small plates of shrimp and grits, gumbo, chicken and waffles, andouille and duck hash, steak and eggs and a crab benedict may be shared along with a variety of sides like mac and cheese or dirty rice. Unlimited beverages include Bloody Mary or Bellini cocktails, mimosas and fresh squeezed juices. Omelets may be made to order and a chef’s dessert selection completes the brunch experience.

Longtime regulars will notice that the classic restaurant has undergone an extensive renovation. The beautiful bronze sculptured oak tree ceiling, reminiscent of the grand trees whose branches cover Southern streets, has been refreshed. Lighter walls and garden windows give the space a bright freshness. Highlighting the reoriented bar are teal-hued Italian feathered ceramic tiles that clad two large columns and serve to add a warmth to the area.

Georgia Brown’s classic low-country menu remains with classic dishes like Charleston Perlau, head-on shrimp with duck and andouille sausage on red rice; Carolina Gumbo, the Southern staple with duck, shrimp, andouille crab, okra in a dark roux; and the Georgia Brown’s original shrimp and grits in a buttery seasoned broth.
