Your Afternoon Animal Fix – AdoPtville

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share for the regular fix please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. AdoPtville is run by a volunteer who compiles these pets weekly from local shelters.

Rascal

Nothing “wascally” to see here, folks! Just a laid-back love bug who will make himself comfortable on your lap while you work from home; he’s even fine being picked up. He might just charm your co-workers with the occasional cameo appearance during video calls. Rascal is a master hunter of strings and likes to have a few good rounds of play per day. If you don’t get there first, he will let you know he wants to play by tapping you politely but firmly on the shoulder. He likes to sleep in his person’s bed at night and will wait patiently for you to get up in the morning before asking for food. Rascal is a confident guy who doesn’t spook easily and isn’t at all shy. Just an all-around great cat. If you want to be the lucky one to snap him up, please email [email protected]

Skype

Hey there! My name is Skype…why do they call me that? Probably because I love to say Hi to everyone, whether they walk on two legs or four.

I get lots of comments wherever I go because people love my short stubby legs and my spotted face. I’ve shared living space with lots of doggie roommates and do well as long as they don’t get too bossy. I’m not a big fan of being told what to do. I also like children but they get me over-stimulated with loud noises and fast movements, so I’d prefer a house with older kids that know how to respect a dog’s boundaries.

I absolutely love to run and play in water. I hope my new family has a lake, or a river, or a plastic swimming pool, or even a water hose? Surprisingly though, I’m afraid to walk through puddles on the sidewalk or go out in the rain.

My second favorite hobby is to ride shotgun in the car. I’m always excited to go to new places and I’ve been working really hard on my self control to remain calm, so I hope you can help me continue to learn. I’ve gotten pretty good, but I still lose my head whenever a loud motorcycle drives by!

I love to eat! I spend most of my days thinking about food but I’ve lost 6lbs through hard work and dedication. I’m now at a very sexy 66lbs. I’ll walk very calmly by your side without pulling on the leash and I really enjoy working out with the occasional sprint (but not very far because my legs are so short). After a good exercise, I’ll sprawl out on the floor and enjoy a good belly rub or rump scratch.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
