“Dear PoPville,
On Friday, October 2 I passed by the Greek Deli on 19th and L. I know the downtown area has been greatly affected by businesses not reopening, so eateries along that area are suffering, but it really made me sad to see the Greek Deli also may succumb to COVID-19 economic woes.
1120 19th Street. NW
Attached are Kosta’s the owner of the Greek Deli whiteboard plea and a picture outside of the Greek Deli. Pre-COVID area, there would’ve been a huge line, but no longer. I would heartbroken if this staple of an eatery that according to Kosta that has been there 31 years could go under. I hope folks can pass by and/or order food for pick-up or delivery (Doordash)”
“Folks – I have 2 priorities in life. My family and my customers. For 31 years, I have lived to serve you high quality food. I am here in rain, sleet, snow and the pandemic. Today, I need your support more than ever. Please tell everyone that The Greek Deli is here to serve you! Let us put together your next family dinner. Thank you for the last 31 years and I hope to serve you for another 31!
– Kosta”
