“report these things instead of immediately ripping them off”

“Dear PoPville,

Not sure if this is being encountered in DC or not, but I wanted to make readers aware of something that’s been going on in Crystal City. For the past month or so these homemade white nationalist stickers have been showing up on parking meters along a one mile stretch of road. Each is different and each is equally disturbing/offensive (these are examples of some of the tamer ones–with offensive language blacked out).

I consulted with a police officer on what to do and, along with filing an electronic police report, he recommended that the next time I see one I leave it and call the non-emergency police line to report. I’m sure there’s not a whole lot that police can do about crimes like this, but I thought it important that readers know to leave them up and report these things instead of immediately ripping them off and hoping they will go away. Now that it’s on the record and the police have seen them/taken my statement, I’d like to continue to tear them off when I see them. Would love to hear any suggestions others have as well.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
