Calvert Woodley Reopening at Noon Today!! (for curbside pickup and delivery)

4339 Connecticut Avenue, NW

It’s been a very long month. But with the recent news of Greek Deli and Great Wall (and Brookland’s Finest soon) reopening for take out and now this, well I’ll take it!! Thanks again to Judi for passing on the good word from Calvert Woodley:

CALVERT WOODLEY IS REOPENING MONDAY, MAY 4th!

We hope you are safe and healthy and doing well. We have missed you!

As a thank you for your support we are having a 20% OFF SALE ON ALL WINE through May 9th. Online ordering is available now.

To keep our employees, customers, and community safer, here are the adjustments we’ve made, or are continuing to make, to our normal business operations:

• CW will be open Monday through Saturday, noon to 5:00 pm.

• No customers inside Calvert Woodley, just employees. To ensure physical distancing, we will have less than half the staff we normally have at any given time.

• All orders must be placed, and paid for, through calvertwoodley.com. Because of the reduced staff, please allow a minimum of two business days for us to put your order together. Also, please wait for us to contact you saying your order is now ready to be picked up before driving in. If you have questions about your order, please email us at [email protected] and we will get back to you as quickly as we can. Exceptions will be made for those without internet access. Please call 202-966-4400.

• A limited selection of cheese and deli items is available on our website. Items will be pre-packaged in half-pound increments for a fixed price.

• No-contact parking lot pickup (please no “walk-ups” or standing in front of CW). Stay in your car and call 202-966-4400, or a CW team member will be outside to assist you.

• No-contact delivery within DC limits, via courier, is available Monday through Friday, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, for a fixed rate of $20. Please allow at least two business days.”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
