“Social Distancing Issue”

Virtual Cocktails photo by PoPville Flickr user Tim Brown

“Dear PoPville,

I had 2 different couples invite me into their homes over the weekend. The first wanted our dogs to get out some energy while we worked inside and the second wanted to feed me brunch on Sunday. While it was nice to have friends thinking of me and wanting to spend time with me (I’m single so distancing can get lonely), this is exactly what we SHOULDN’T do while social distancing!

On Saturday evening, I received a Snapchat from a friend showing a group of people hanging out at his house. No more than 10 people but still!

Could you share this message with DC? I know we are bored. I know we can still have fun indoors. But if we continue to socialize together at each other’s houses, it fully defeats the purpose of social distancing.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
