“Nina May now serving coffee, breakfast and lunch!”

1337 11th Street, NW at O Street

Thanks to Kari for sending: “I live down the street from Nina May and have seen my fair share of restaurants open and close (I am looking at you “The Bird ” and “Frenchy’s Naturel“) any way, looks like Nina May is now open for coffee, breakfast and lunch and I really want them to succeed. It is a tough corner with not too much foot traffic.”

From a press release:

“After a successful launch in the Fall, Shaw’s New American restaurant Nina May has introduced a daytime café within the restaurant. Open Monday – Friday, from 7 am – 2 pm, the café’s menu reflects the team’s continued dedication to locally sourced and sustainable food ingredients.

Comfortable and inviting, the counter service café is a place where guests can stop in for a light bite or coffee to start their work day, all offered on the first floor of the airy and bright two story restaurant. “Now that we have gotten settled into the neighborhood, we felt like this was the next natural step. We are excited and ready to focus on serving the community as an all-day neighborhood destination.”

In the café, menu options include house-made pastries, like croissants, seasonal muffins and a Morning Bun with cream cheese frosting. Heartier breakfast items include the Seasonal Farm Egg Quiche served with house-made crème fraîche and local greens and the Nina May Breakfast Sandwich on a house-made english muffin, cheesy eggs and jalapeño salsa verde. Lunch choices will change seasonally, and current features include a Winter Kale with Poached Bosc Pears with shaved Chinese radishes, pepper vinaigrette, toasted almonds and the Crispy Blue Catfish with House Potato Roll with smoked remoulade, butter lettuce and carrot kimchi. A selection of locally sourced coffee drinks, tea and fresh juices round out the menu.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
