1240 Upshur St, NW

From an email:

“On Monday, Feb. 3, 2020 Annie’s Ace Hardware in Petworth will become Petworth Ace Hardware. Owner and operator Anne Stom has sold the store to the A Few Cool Hardware Stores group, owned by Gina Schafer and Marc Friedman.

Stom opened Annie’s Ace Hardware eight years ago, on Feb. 8, 2012.

“We have been proud to help develop and support this community, and the store will continue to be a foundational part of the neighborhood,” she said. “I want to thank all our customers for their business and their embrace of our store.”

“My excellent team of sales associates are what made Annie’s Hardware great, and they will be staying on to continue to provide the services and assistance our customers have come to expect,” Stom said. “Gina and Marc bring tremendous experience and resources to this endeavor and we know they will continue to provide the community with a great hardware shopping experience.”

A Few Cool Hardware Stores operates many other Ace hardware locations in the area, including Logan Ace, Frager’s Ace on Capitol Hill, Tenleytown Ace, and Old Takoma Ace.

Stom will continue to own and operate Annie’s Ace Hardware Brookland, at 3405 8th Street, NE.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.
