“Red Line Delay: Trains are single tracking between Van Ness & Friendship Heights due to a track problem outside Van Ness. Expect delays in both directions.”

UPDATE 6:08pm from Alert DC:

“FEMS reports the fire activity has cleared. WMATA reports trains are no longer single tracking, and normal operation has resumed. Residual delays continue in both directions.”

“WMATA reports train service has been suspended between Van Ness and Dupont Circle Metro station due to fire activity at Woodley Park. Shuttle bus services has been requested for Woodley Park, Dupont Circle, and Van Ness Metro stations.”

From WMATA:

“Red Line Alert: Shuttle buses available between Cleveland Park and Farragut North due to a track problem outside Woodley Park.”

“UPDATED: Red Line Delay: Single tracking btwn Farragut North & Van Ness w/ bypassing Dupont Circle & Woodley Park due to a track problem outside Woodley Park.”
