I see your Clear Ice Maze made with 110,000 pounds of ice and raise you a 5,000 square-foot rustic ski lodge.
From a press release:
“There’s a ski lodge in the middle of DC. The backyard at Hook Hall has been seasonally transformed into The Chalet at Hook Hall. The summer favorite outdoor beer garden has been tented, heated and turned into a 5,000 square-foot rustic ski lodge. Hook Hall’s summer cabanas are now cozy alcoves called Chalet Nooks which include sectional lounges, Sherpa blankets, individual fire pits, USB ports and large pillows. The Nooks, seating up to 12 guests, may be reserved on weekends at $100 for a three hour rental.
In addition to its full bar, the Chalet at Hook Hall offers wait staff service and a menu that includes hot traditional Alpine beverages plus mulled wine and a selection of festive schnapps, Bavarian pretzels, a shareable giant pretzel sandwich that serves up to 10 guests and a Reese’s Pieces S’mores dessert. Menu here.

At Generation Hope, we’re dedicated to supporting teen parents in college as they work toward earning their degrees. We are in need of caring child care volunteers for upcoming events on Saturday, October 21st (in Washington, DC), and Saturday, November 4th (in Arlington, VA). Join our growing volunteer community and support us at an event this fall!
At all of our events, we provide free onsite child care for the children of the teen parents we serve, creating a nurturing environment for the kiddos while their parents learn valuable life skills and build community.
