Ward 2 Council member Jack Evans
Council Member Cheh not mincing words:
Mr. Evans has betrayed each and every one of us–his colleagues, the government, and the residents of the District of Columbia.
I don’t think there is any other action that we can fairly take other than expulsion. Nothing short of that would be proportionate to what he’s done.

The Washington Post reports:
“All 12 D.C. Council members voted Tuesday to recommend that member Jack Evans be expelled in the face of ethics violations, an extraordinary step and the first time lawmakers ever moved to eject one of their own.”
