From DDOT:

“Today, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced a four-month demonstration pilot for motor-driven cycles, also known as mopeds, as part of the District’s continued commitment to foster new shared mobility options.

“This demonstration period will allow the District to evaluate how mopeds will fit in our transportation network,” said DDOT Director Jeff Marootian. “This is another opportunity for us to reduce dependence on single occupancy vehicles and expand the sustainable transportation options we offer to residents and visitors.”

DDOT administers multiple shared vehicle permit programs including cars, electric bicycles, and scooters

Companies that want to participate in the pilot must meet the terms and conditions of a new Public Right of Way Occupancy Permit (PROW OP). The terms will include current laws related to the operation of mopeds such as requiring a helmet, possessing a valid driver license and no riding on the sidewalks. All permitted applicants will be allowed to operate up to 400 vehicles during the demonstration period.

The terms and conditions of the PROW OP for the shared motor-driven cycle demonstration will be made available on DDOT’s website before Monday, August 12, 2019.”

STAY TUNED.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
