Original Mandu space gutted by fire Reopens Today as Anju, Korean Restaurant and Pub

1805 18th Street, NW @dannyleedc

Mandu suffered a devastating fire back in July 2017 and in the words of co-owner Chef Danny Lee:

“No words can describe how good it feels to have guests back in our house on 18th St.”

Mandu was a neighborhood gem and one of the truly great spots in town where you knew you were going to have a awesome meal in a chill atmosphere every single time. Fortunately, Anju is fixing to pick right up where Mandu left off. If not even more so. I took an early taste last night and haven’t stopped smiling since.

Anju’s website says:

“Anju is the second restaurant from The Fried Rice Collective. Chefs Danny Lee and Scott Drewno pair modern cooking techniques with traditional Korean flavors, while Drew Kim provides his passion for hospitality ensuring a unique dining experience.
