“any one else experiencing census people casing your building?”

“Dear PoPville,

PSA, any one else experiencing census people casing your building? My DC condo building last night had a person with an iPad spending a lot of time in the hallways documenting units and I confirmed with my front desk staff that she provided ID and was allowed access to the building free-range beyond the lobby.

As unit numbers are already in the property tax records, easily accessed here in DC via the city web site property tax database, do they really need to be coming in to condo buildings going up and down hallways? I am still recovering from being selected for the ACS (American Community Survey, for those unfamiliar, that asks you everything about your life) a couple years ago and it was very creepy, these people waiting in my lobby for hours on end trying to “catch” me and the incessant phone calls wanting very personal information… it reminded me of actually being stalked.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
