“Muncheez, a Middle Eastern fast casual restaurant with locations in Georgetown and Tenleytown, will open a third location in Dupont Circle later this summer. Located at 1317 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Muncheez Dupont Circle will open at 11:00 a.m. daily, serving a daytime lunch crowd, while operating into the early morning hours to also service late night patrons in the neighborhood.
Founder and owner, David Nammour, opened the first Muncheez in 2010 and was inspired by Lebanese street food and his upbringing in Beirut when developing the restaurant and its menu. Muncheez is known for its flavorful, made-from-scratch shawarmas, bowls, and mezze alongside a variety of manakeesh, a Mediterranean-style flatbread. The full menu can be found here. Nammour, a trained civil engineer turned restaurateur, was inspired by his background in engineering to run a sustainable operation, and Muncheez Dupont Circle will operate on clean energy, provide close to 100% compostable packaging, will compost food waste as well as recycle fryer grease.
The two-level restaurant will also be able to accommodate eat-in customers with café and high-top seating.”
