Starting at 8pm there will be a Closure of Rock Creek Parkway for Kennedy Center Construction

“DDOT reports Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway and the Rock Creek Trail by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will be closed to all vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic Friday, April 19 at 8 PM until Monday, April 22 at 5:30 AM. Vehicular closures will take place between Virginia Avenue NW and the Interstate 66/Potomac River Freeway interchange (behind the Lincoln Memorial). Pedestrian and bicycle closures will take place between F Street NW (at the Kennedy Center) and the Roosevelt Bridge. Signage and safety officials will be in place to safely direct traffic in and around the Kennedy Center as follows:

Drivers approaching from the north will follow a detour on Virginia Avenue NW. Drivers approaching from the south will follow a detour onto the ramp that leads to Interstate 66/Potomac River Freeway. Pedestrians and bicyclists will follow detour signs at F Street NW at the Kennedy Center to Virginia Avenue and 23rd Street to the Lincoln Memorial.

DDOT TCO are supporting on 4/20 and possibly 4/21 with traffic control at 27th & Virginia Avenue NW.”
